Ms. Gimpy Says Thanks to Robin

I've known for some months that my blue Scrub Jay friend Ms. Gimpy recognizes me as the human who fed her last summer when she had a broken leg.  What I didn't realize was how much she trusted me. That is what I learned this week when I decided to try feeding her by hand. You can see, above, how it all developed.
That was February 28, 2012 the first time I had ever tried such a silly thing. Later in the morning, still in my jammies--as I was staying close to home with a cold--Ms. Gimpy spotted the dish of bird seed in my lap and really took over my life!

Mr. Peanut is quite jealous and he will come near, but still won't eat out of my hand (or my lap).  So February has gone out like a Jay Bird! What fun to have Ms. Gimpy in my life and in my back yard.

How nice! I hope she doesn't lose her wild side, though.

Well, we don't talk, and she doesn't live in my house, so I think her wild side is going to be fine!

Oh, good. I hope you don't lose yours, then.

Oh dear. Perhaps it has just been misplaced?

I'm confident that is the case.

Not feelin' it, right now!
