(Just Updated!!) Do You Know the Way to Hyderabad? Events List for "California Apricots"

At Andy's Orchard this weekend, the apricot tasting and orchard tour attracted four hundred people.

I honestly did not know it would get this big. I wrote California Apricots (History Press 2013) from my heart, using a fairly exotic fruit as the thread with which to weave the story of my valley.  I hoped a few folks would enjoy it. But today, with my book in its second printing, at my fourth event in three days, I signed books at the high tech company XiLinx, and one of them was to their Community Connection team in Hyderabad. That's an ancient city in India, one of the many places I did not expect my book to appear!

We've had eleven events so far and there are at least fourteeen more to go! Here's an updated list (stateside):

Wednesday, August 14: 7:30 p.m. Capitola Book CafĂ©: author presentation and book signing with special "apricot menu" at the Cafe. 1475 41st Avenue,  Capitola, CA. 95010. 831-462-4415.

Sunday, August 17: In honor of the LAHS Class reunion weekend, Robin will be at the Los Altos History Museum from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. signing her books for members of her class and anyone else who might like a signed copy. The LAHM is behind the Los Altos Library at 51 South San Antonio Road, 94022.

Tuesday, August 27: 1:30 p.m. Peninsula Volunteers: author presentation and book signing. Little House Activity Center, 800 Middle Avenue, Menlo Park, CA 94025. Telephone: 650-326-2025. 

Wednesday, August 28: 7:00 p.m. Author talk, Channing House850 Webster Street, Palo Alto, California. (Two blocks South of University Avenue, between Homer and Channing. 

Thursday, August 29: 7:00 p.m. Books, Inc.: author presentation and book signing.  301 Castro Street, Mountain View, CA. 94040. 650-428-1234. This one will be fun, as it is just before Labor Day Weekend, and Castro Street, on a Thursday evening, is a great place to stroll among the techies and dine at one of Mountain View's many wonderful restaurants.
